Inflation clocked in at an astonishing 7% annual increase from last year as of the latest CPI report from the U.S. Bureau Of Labor Statistics. Shelter and used cars were among the highest contributors to the price hikes. Energy costs dropped some, though food prices remain high. “The index for all items [less food and energy] rose 0.6 percent in December following a 0.5-percent increase in November. This was the sixth time in the last 9 months it has increased at least 0.5 percent.” and the all items index–an index that virtually makes up the CPI–”rose 7.0 percent for the 12 months ending December, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending June 1982” according to the report.

CPI reports like this have been common since August. In September, inflation rose 5.4%. In October, 5.0%. November harbingered December’s figure with 6.8% inflation figure. The graph that tracks these numbers below paints a dismal picture for the outlook on Biden’s economy. And, for the middle-class American, a graph like this entices one to clutch their checkbook.

It’s been many months since the Biden administration called the inflation phenomena “transitory”–with this CPI report, this verbiage is under the highest question now. All the while Biden was flippant about these inflation surges Americans shopped in grocery stores with thin inventory (they still are) and gradual price increases. It seems, Biden is more focused on defending totalitarian vaccine mandates.

Americans don’t care about COVID. Americans care about their pocketbooks. It’s lunacy the administration is spending time and energy on a mild disease when a free vaccine + booster is available for said disease. Plainly, there doesn’t exist a net positive of gross administrative focus and economy draining restrictions for COVID. The Administration’s methods are so unintelligent one can’t help but think there’s an element of malfeasance.

Ignoring the voice of the American people a second time, Biden has shifted his attention to so-called “racist” voter ID laws; voter ID laws that black Americans are in support of. 69% of black American support voter ID laws, another 82% of non-white minorities support the laws, too. This administration is off in its own world, fighting ghosts that no one else can see. It’s no surprise the administration’s approval rating is in the gutter all across the political spectrum–not only because of it’s incompetency and unwise trade-off analysis regarding COVID policy, but because of willfully ignoring the desires of Americans and their voter base.
